Mosaics

Nothing adds personal flair to your home like artwork. Whether adding a focal point to your landscape or a whimsical backsplash to your bath, mosaics are so much fun to have! Each one is unique and handcrafted. I collect colorful, used tiles, find stones along a riverā€™s edge, and create one-of-a-kind pieces in my kiln to use in my mosaics. Letā€™s have some fun!

A couple of these were created with stone that I purchased in bags because the homeowner already was using them onsite, but then I started to have concern about the environmental cost of how these stones are harvested and shipped around the world. Now I select stones when I visit rivers, scrounge flagstone from the scrap bins at quarry yards, frequent stores with second-hand tiles, and create a few accents in my kiln. I can still buy the bags but try to avoid it. Iā€™m also happy to use stones that you have collected!

Tile Mosaics

I started working with tile when I took a pottery class in Denver and totally fell in love with it. Now I have a small kiln and enjoy creating unique pieces and pops of color and texture for the mosaics. I can make pieces for outside too including house numbers (it takes a special clay and higher firing temps).
